i read an interview on recordcamp.com where r devine mentioned that now he has moved into programming his own code
to make his music since the current code in the market is not doing what he wants to do. he said most of his aleamapper
was done with stuff he had designed and compiled himself. he has also shared his software with autechre and a couple of
other people, have any of you seen his software in action? if you have come across his software, what do you think about it.
better yet, let me know if any of you guys on this list making their own code and have music oploaded somewhere that i could perhaps check out?
hmmmm, but as far as the actual music is concerned, i have to say i dont like the newest autechre and the last richard devine cd that much.
its cool they are pushing the envelope, but the reason i used to like autechre / r devine so much was that they had the perfect ballance between out there
madness and experimentation mixed with compositions which where still moving me on an emotional level, i can always appreciate a good interplay between
pleasing melodic noise/synth lines and manipulation of tones and scales.
